The New South Wales State of origin team has been announced with eight new players into the squad to make their debut and yet none are from the competition leaders, but the selectors have made comment saying that the team was selected on form and for this reason i point your attention back to the competition leaders. With eight wins and two loses this season surely there must be a few players that are in "some good form" and as the Queensland origin team was announced today, with no major surprises only one player from the leading NRL team was named.
Ben Hannant has been is some great form and deserves his position, it has been the right decision to include the front rower, i think right at this moment Ben Hannant is the best front row forward in the game (i know that is a big call with players like Steven Price and Petero Civoniceva playing and both have been selected in Queensland starting side).
So after the origin teams have been named and those players are not unable to play this week, this leaves the Bulldogs, the competition leaders, taking on the Newcastle knights this week without Newcastle and NSW state of origin captain Kurt Gidley. Newcastle will also be without winger James McManus.
This week teams will be sacred with the lost of players but not the leaders i bet they are smiling this week.
Origin tip: I'm a New South Welshman and have always lived in this great state thats why this hurts me dearly to say that the Queenslanders will win the Origin series. The NSW Side doesn't have enough experience or skill to match the superatars from Queensland but who knows the Baby Blues may shock every one and win against the superstars but unlikely, or the Queensland team may lose a lot of their players through injury or suspension throughout the series but again unlikely and they would also have players with enough quality to fill in for the positions and beat the Blues.
